The cover is made from Silver Polyester material and it is lined with a non-abrasive fleece backing. It protects against salt build up in coastal areas reducing the requirement for protective fluids such as WD40 to the rotor blades.

Compacted 6mm poly foam material is inserted between the double material layers in order to absorb the impact of hail stones on the blade surfaces.

The cover outer material is 210D grade polyester; treated for water resistance it is UV protected and with anti-static build up

A series of breather outlets have been fitted to the bottom side of the cover for air circulation and drainage.

Hi -Visibility florescent stripes are sawn onto the cover and to the tie down belt for added visibility of the aircraft.

A fully adjustable tie down belt is attached to the cover to secure the blade of the aircraft in the preferred position.

The TIE DOWN belt attached the cover can be fully adjusted in order to hold the main blade to the correct position.

The R44-R66 aircrafts have an appropriate slot on the top of the headlights to secure the tie down. The rear of the main blade cover can be attached to the tail boom with supplied tie down strap.

It is easy to slip on with one person.

To secure the hail cover to the blade a series of belts with Velcro have been attached to the cover so that it can be securely tied to the main blade to withstand extreme weather.

The rear blade cover can be fitted to the rear blade as easily as the forward blade and can be secured to the tail boom with supplied tie on strap.

Aerotecnica cannot guarantee that in extreme cases the special EPE foam material will withstand the extreme forces of unusually heavy hail stones but it will minimize their impact and therefor minimize damage €
